Dedication & Review

Today, I have a post that will be very close to my heart. You see, I'm dedicating it to someone very special to me, and I will be doing a review of product sent to me by Bornprettystore. Warning, this will be extremely picture heavy.

I'll start with the dedication. 5 years ago, on October 13th my auntie passed away. She was one of the most outgoing people I knew. When I was a kid, I was scared of monsters in my closet and the boogie man, she came all the way over to my house to show me that there was nothing to be afraid of. My mom always tells me stories that when I was a toddler I would take my aunts clean folded laundry and drag it around the house. She was inspirational and outstanding, but alcohol controlled her life. About 5 years before she passed away it got worse, she drank everyday, stopped working, and stopped caring about herself. Everytime I saw her she was like a ghost, didn't want to be talked to, or was to obnoxious to try to talk to. When it got so bad that her liver started failing the doctors gave her an option, they would do a transplant if she could stay sober for 6 months and promise to stop drinking. This completely changed knowing she was on her death bed. She stopped drinking, her skin turned white again, she was my aunt. 4 months in, and she relapsed, hard. 2 weeks after she relapsed she passed away in the car on the way to the hospital. I'll never forget the phone call I got, it was from my dad, and I could hear my mom screaming in the background. This was the hardest thing my family could have gone through. After her funeral, my mom and I went and got matching tattoo's, a japenese style butterfly. She had sculptures and pictures everywhere of butterfly's and what better thing to have on my body to symbolize my aunt, then a butterfly, which also has a meaning of life after death.

For this mani, I used one of the new depend holographic polishes gin sent me. I'm so glad they arrived when they did, this was the perfect occasion to use it. And why don't I have more holo's in my collection?! I used 3 coats of depend 2031 and on my ring finger I did an accent of a half moon, with rhinestones from bornprettystore.

After this I decided to stamp on some butterfly's, please excuse my lack of not having the plates in front of me to tell you which ones I used, I do know they are from the new Bundle Monster set. I then added to the nails with the full plate heart rhinestones, which I also used from the rhinestone set from bornprettystore.

What was really great is my set of rhinestones which you can find here. It came with a pointed set of tweezers which made picking up the rhinestones SO much easier. I really love bornprettystore because they have so many great nail art products for a great price. You can purchase the whole set of rhinestones with tweezer for only $8.58 and you will have them for a life time!

My family and I will be having a get together tomorrow for my aunt, just like we do every year so I thought I'de make something special in her honor.
I hope you enjoyed my post and my mani as much as I did, and don't forget you can use my coupon code BUL91 to receive 10% off of your purchase from bornprettystore

Until Next Time!
